The book mainly was directed at training puppies, which the title of the book did not say, it reads "teach your dog", anyway I have 4 adults dogs that have numerous issues and none of them were addressed in this book. I was very disappointed in the lack of information on training/re-training all dog age issues, sick dogs with bladder problems, old dogs with pack and leader urinating, and younger females dogs that pee when you greet them, that kind of stuff. Sorry this book was a waste of my time.Product details

Lot of good suggestions. But I need help with marking in the house. My dog for some reason marks my wife's stuff.
Nothing useful here for anyone but the utterly uninitiated.
Don't invest in these mini how-to books, just learn your dog!
The author is focused and straight to the point, and chock full of helpfull housetraining tips. It's a quick read too, for those of us with busy lives!
This was a decent booklet, but most of it was common sense. I recommend it to anyone who has never raised a puppy before. That said, buy it BEFORE you get the pup.
We recently adopted a dog and was trying hard to get him on a schedule. So I read JennaLee's book over the course of a few hours. It was a great read and provided a lot of good advice. What I liked most about the book is that it got to the point. I love her personal stories interwoven throughout the book but you didn't have to read about dog psychology to get to the heart of why I bought the book. I look forward to reading her other titles!
I learned more from this small book. I have some changes to do, like I already have given him full range off the house. I live in a small apartment never occurred to me. I enjoy having them snuggle with me on my couch. And sleep with me as well.
I did learn some ideas to curb any accidents. This pup has been a challenge, seems to have zeroed in on the hallway. I am going to try to make him think of that as his property. Thank You
I love the clear step by step methodical way this housetraining book is written because that is exactly how housetraing should be addressed. All the important things are covered in exactly the order in which they should be done. I will recommend this for anyone with a new puppy or dog AND/OR anyone having a relapse. Many people feel that they don't need to train a new adult dog who was house trained in a previous home…WRONG! You may be able to progress very quickly, but in my opinion this same protocol should be followed for any new dog in your home….puppy or adult. Thank you JennaLee for this wonderful reference material.
